On Netflix - The Story of Luke

I found another great movie tonight :)

Though the world expects little from him, an autistic 25-year-old is determined to find a job and take care of himself after his grandmother dies.

This guy is on a mission :) The friendships he makes on the way is awesome.

On Netflix- And your name is Jonah

I don't usually watch movies made before I was born, but this movie is great. And Your Name is Jonah is about a little boy growing up in the world deaf. His family struggle to communicate with him even the simplest things. Something very complex happens in Jonahs life and he doesn't understand. A very heart felt movie and I just loved it!

On Netflix- Best Kept Secret

I found a documentary on Netflix I wanted to share. Best Kept Secret. Devotion is the word. This teacher has it for her students. When it's time for them to graduate though, she wants to make sure they have a plan. What will happen to them when they leave school?

I loved this film, If all students had a teacher who cared as much as this one does this world would be a much better place. If you have time check it out :)

On Netflix - A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism

In our home we have Roku 1's and Netflix instead of cable TV. Tonight I found this really awesome documentary on Autism and a mothers fight to help her son communicate. A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism. Very touching and informative film. Hit home here because I would give up everything to know what my son is thinking.

If you have time take a look at it, If you have a child who is Non-verbal Autistic, the film looks at many different programs in which you can enroll your child in to help. If you can't find them in your area, don't give up we are the voice of our children, ask questions, inquire as to why they aren't offered. Find out what is offered and how to have your child receive the services. Don't stop until you get answers. Be strong and stand your ground there is help out there.

Thanks for Stopping by,

Jessie
