[[ How It Works - Fun chemistry lesson! This product breaks the bonds of substances that are not water soluble, like tar and grease, apart into it's components, allowing water to wash them away. Confused? I would be too, thankfully I went to school for chemical engineering and had some extensive coursework in chemistry. Substances like tar and grease are hydrophobic (repels water), they do not attract to water molecules making them insoluble in water. That's why these substances don't mix with water and tend to settle on top of it instead. This product breaks apart the bonds holding these substances together and by doing so, reduces the substance's adherence. This allows the substances to be broken down into components that are hydrophilic (attracted to water) allowing water to remove the substance.
