Daily School Report 02/10/15

So I’m finding it extremely hard to stay focused tonight. Thursday we took the kids to the doctor, and one of the things discussed at the doctor was Dylan fits. And how he scratches himself sometimes during these fits. Well, it took the pharmacy from Thursday until today to get 24 hours release Intuniv. We got the medication and was waiting till about bedtime to crush the pills as instructed by Dylans Doctor. We read on the bottle, do not crush or chew this medication and so we call the pharmacy. Pharmacist tells us crushing a 24-hour release pill, could overdose our son. She then tells us to not do as instructed by the doctor, she will call him tomorrow and get a new medication for Dylan altogether.

well, guess who’s getting a new doctor. All my kids! This doctor is our family doctor and has been since Dylan was born. Now I do realize that doctors do make mistakes. This mistake could have killed my son. And that’s not an exaggeration at all, Intuniv is a blood pressure medicine sometimes used in children with ADHD. Overdosing on a blood pressure medicine can make your heart stop. I’m done with that doctor. I’m looking for a new one.

Jasmine and I got up late. It wasn’t too late, we had 15 minutes to spare. But what made it so frustrating and frantic was that Jasmine could not find her homework. I watched her finish it last night, I watched her put it in her folder and I also watched to put it inside her bag. When we wake up its not in her bag anymore, it's not even in her folder anymore. I really don’t understand why she’s doing this. If your homework is done then we put it away, so we can turn it in tomorrow. She acts like she never wants to turn in her homework. Her psychiatrist thinks it’s because she’s a perfectionist. She doesn’t act that way at school. I don’t get why she just acts like that at home. We did find it before she left, but I didn’t actually see where she pulled it out from and I was pretty much tearing the house apart looking for it and didn’t see it.

This morning did go well. Dylan did really good in ABA considering there were three of them Plus me and his room all at once. The crowding of people sometimes agitates Dylan. He was all smiles and really vocal. He recently started doing this ooooooo weeee sound, I think he picked that up from his little sister Sofia who also recently started counting saying 123 weeeeee. Which is really good, that means Dylan is getting better at imitation.

Dylan started a fit right before the bus got here, as I was walking out to the bus he was still crying. I wasn’t sure how his day was going to go.

Yesterdays finger painting :)
