Daily School Report 12/12/14

I'm writing this 12/13/14 because 12/12 is Sofia birthday, I didn't really have time to write it yesterday. I also hurt my back somehow, I don't remember doing anything that would strain it but it still is.

I made her cake myself, it looked really good but I think I used way too much frosting I wanted the cake to be pink in the inside and purple on the out. I used 2 boxes of Duncan Hines Signature Strawberry cake mix  and 3 jars of Pillsbury Happy Birthday Funfetti Bold Purple Vanilla Frosting. Baked 2 cakes and glue them together with one jar of the frosting, then covered the rest of the cake with the other 2 jars. The happy birthday funfetti frosting Pillsbury makes come with confetti sprinkles in the top of the lids and so as you can see I just tossed them everywhere LOL. It was entirely too sweet, but it looked great and Sofia liked it :)

I happen to have one of those days, where I just didn't wake to about 3 of my alarms. Jasmine didn't go to school, because she has a nasty cough and she at times would sound like she was going to get sick from coughing so hard. Besides her alarms, I have multiple alarms to wake up for Dylan's ABA therapy. I didnt wake up to them either, but I woke up 20 minutes past the time, and they happen to stay around town to have a meeting, so they come back. It was a lot of people on friday, his ABA therapist, BSA, and OT. He didn't seem to mind too much which was good, but to me it felt a little crowded so I wasn't in the room too much.

 Today at school Dylan of the following according to the daily objectives send him sheet sent by his teacher.

1-No Response/hand over hand

2-Multiple prompts (Gestural, physical,visual, and/or verbal)

3-No more then 2 verbal prompts

4-Independent

• 2 Imitate action with body or toys
• 4 indicate refusal by pushing away non preferred objects with an appropriate force
• 3 Request objects with a single picture with open hand cue and 1 prompt
• 2 Complete fine motor activities
• 3 Sit for 5 minutes group without adult assistance
• 3 Work on age appropriate table activity for 2 minutes

His daily classroom activities were

• Play skills 
• Gross Motor
• Fine motor
• Language arts
• Snack
• Morning work
• Sensory activity
• Calendar
• Lunch

Dylan's teacher made comments today was a great day. Dylan had a really good day. He had no crying at all and lots of smiles. He sat well at group. He loved the bubble machine I set up in the gross motor area. He kept smiling and he reached out and popped bubbles as they fell.

On another note, we just gave Dylan a hair cut and a shower in one day, and it only took him 10 minutes to calm down. He is getting alot better about getting his hair cut. He almost doesn't even notice at all when I do the top, but when I more to the side and back OH BOY! then he lets us know he doesn't like it.
